Zorba’s Tavern in Fairmount
Imagine going to Greece, all of the breathtaking views of deep blue and crisp white. Can you see yourself eating the delicious pure ingredients of Greek cuisine while watching the movement of the Mediterranean sea? Now imagine having that same experience in a restaurant. And now you have my experience dining at Zorba’s Tavern in Philadelphia.When I went to Zorba’s Tavern with my husband last week, I never expected to come out feeling so satisfied from a meal. There was an incredible variety of fish dishes and other traditional Greek dishes. It wasn’t just the food that left me with a warm feeling though. Everything felt authentic, from the cozy decor to the comforting ingredients of the food. My husband was particularly interested in the menu items grilled over charcoal and ordered a Charcoaled Sampler, while I ordered the Fisherman’s Feast. Served on a bed of lettuce with steaming rice, the fish tasted as though it was caught that day from the sea. For that one hour, I was swept away by the experience at Zorba’s Tavern and whenever I need that escape again, I will definitely go back.
